Job Description

Guiding customers from initial interest to purchase by understanding needs, demonstrating vehicle features, arranging test drives, negotiating price, finalizing paperwork, and ensuring post-sale satisfaction, all while meeting sales targets and maintaining product knowledge. Key responsibilities include building rapport, explaining financing, managing inventory, and collaborating with dealership teams, requiring strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills, plus a valid driver's license. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Greet customers, understand their needs, and build rapport. 
  • Product Knowledge: Explain vehicle features, benefits, warranties, and compare models. 
  • Sales Process: Conduct test drives, overcome objections, negotiate prices, and close sales. 
  • Paperwork & Delivery: Process sales documents, coordinate financing, and prepare vehicles for handover. 
  • Follow-up: Contact customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and schedule service. 
  • Dealership Operations: Maintain showroom appearance, record sales, and attend training. 

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience: Previous sales or customer-facing experience is beneficial.
  • Education: High school diploma/GED usually required; sometimes an Associate's degree.
  • Licenses: A valid driver's license is essential.
  • Personal Attributes: Professional, energetic, and customer-focused. 

Typical Work Environment:

  • Dealerships, working with new and used vehicles.
  • Requires flexibility, including weekends and evenings.
