CCTV Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled ELV Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Extra Low Voltage systems including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Structured Cabling, Public Address, and Audio-Visual systems. The technician will ensure all systems operate efficiently and comply with project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, test, and commission ELV systems such as:

CCTV & IP Surveillance Systems

Access Control & Time Attendance Systems

Fire Alarm Systems (Conventional & Addressable – if applicable)

Structured Cabling (UTP, Fiber Optic)

Public Address & Background Music Systems

Audio-Visual & Display Solutions

Read and interpret ELV drawings, schematics, and technical documents

Perform troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repairs

Terminate cables, devices, panels, and racks as per standards

Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades on site

Conduct routine preventive maintenance and inspections

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

Prepare basic installation and maintenance reports

Support system testing, commissioning, and handover documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / ITI / Technical Certification in Electronics, Electrical, or ELV Systems

2–5 years of experience in ELV system installation and maintenance

Hands-on experience with:

IP & Analog CCTV systems

Access Control Systems

Fire Alarm Systems (preferred)

Networking basics (IP addressing, switches, PoE)

Ability to use testing tools (multimeter, LAN tester, fiber tools – advantage)

Basic computer skills

Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Requirements

Knowledge of international standards (NFPA, BS, ISO – an advantage)

Valid driving license (optional, project-dependent)

Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial projects

Working Conditions

Site-based work with occasional overtime
