Job Description

  • Key ResponsibilitiesSafety ManagementDevelop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures aligned with US transportation laws.
  • Conduct driver safety training, toolbox talks, and refresher programs.
  • Monitor driver behavior, Hours of Service (HOS), ELD logs, and safety performance.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare corrective action plans.
  • Compliance & RegulatoryEnsure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
  • Maintain driver qualification files (DQF), vehicle maintenance files, and compliance records.
  • Handle DOT audits, safety reviews, and compliance inspections.
  • Track and manage CSA scores, violations, and corrective actions.
  • Fleet & DocumentationEnsure vehicles meet inspection, maintenance, and safety standards.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain records for insurance, permits, licenses, and renewals.
  • Reporting & CoordinationPrepare safety and compliance reports for management.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, HR, and operations teams on compliance issues.
  • Act as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and insurance partners.
  • Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of US logistics safety regulations (FMCSA, DOT, OSHA).
  • Experience with ELD systems, HOS compliance, and CSA monitoring.
  • Excellent documentation, auditing, and reporting skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and international operations.
  • QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Safety Management, or related field.
  • 2–6 years of experience in safety & compliance within US logistics or trucking.
  • Certification in Safety/Compliance (preferred).
  • Familiarity with US trucking operations and compliance tools.
