Freight Broker

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and secure freight loads from shippers
• Find and assign carriers for load transportation
• Negotiate pricing and contracts with both parties
• Book loads and provide shipment details (pickup & delivery)
• Track shipments and provide regular updates
• Handle documents like Rate Confirmation, BOL, and POD
• Resolve issues such as delays or damages
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and carriers
• Use load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) to manage loads

Skills Required:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good problem-solving ability
• Basic knowledge of logistics and transportation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and time management
• 2-3 years exp required in freight broker
