Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Jewellery Designer at Jewelnme, your key responsibilities will include:

• Design Creation & Development
• Develop original jewellery concepts that reflect Jewelnme’s aesthetic and design philosophy.

Design Presentation

• Present design ideas, mood boards, prototypes, and collection themes to the leadership team.
• Clearly communicate design intent, material selection, and expected customer appeal.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with the IT team to convert designs into 3D visuals for digital showcasing on the platform.
• Work closely with production and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate execution of each design.
• Partner with marketing and sales to align collections with consumer preferences and ongoing market trends.

Market & Trend Exploration

• Stay updated on global jewellery trends, new materials, and emerging techniques.
• Study competitor products and analyze customer insights to enhance future design directions.

Technical Design & Development

• Use 3D CAD tools such as Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, AutoCAD, or equivalent software to prepare detailed technical drawings and renders.
• Oversee the transition from digital design to prototype and final production.

Client Engagement

• Manage custom design requests for premium clients, understanding their requirements and translating them into tailored concepts.
• Craft cohesive collections that include rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and other accessories, ensuring each piece fits within the overall narrative.

Skills:

• Design Expertise:Strong conceptualization skills with versatility across classic, modern, and experimental styles.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Rhino, JewelCAD, Matrix, AutoCAD or similar software for 3D modelling.
• Material Understanding: Proficient knowledge of gemstones, metals, manufacturing processes, and setting techniques.
• Innovative Thinking: Ability to balance creativity, practicality, and manufacturability while pushing creative boundaries.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for detail, ensuring every aspect of the design is thoroughly considered, from comfort to aesthetics.
• Client-Centric Approach: Strong interpersonal skills to understand client vision and deliver bespoke designs that exceed expectations.
• Market Awareness: Ability to balance aesthetic appeal and market demands, ensuring designs are both desirable and commercially viable.
• Time & Workflow Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
• Communication: Ability to articulate design concepts and technical specifications clearly and collaborate effectively with the production team and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Jewellery Design, Fine Arts, Gemology, or a related discipline.
• Additional certification in gemology/metallurgy is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in jewellery design.
• A comprehensive portfolio showcasing conceptual, custom, and production-ready designs.
