Job Description
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Cleaning & HygieneWash and sanitize all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and equipment.
- Clean kitchen floors, drains, walls, shelves, trolleys, and workstations.
- Ensure garbage disposal is done timely and as per segregation norms.
- Maintain high hygiene standards as per FSSAI and internal SOPs.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
- 2. Dishwashing & Equipment CareOperate dishwashing machines or manual washing areas efficiently.
- Ensure proper storage of clean utensils and equipment.
- Report any damaged, broken, or missing items immediately.
- Assist in cleaning heavy kitchen equipment (tandoor, ovens, burners, exhausts).
- 3. Kitchen SupportAssist chefs in basic prep work (washing vegetables, peeling, carrying supplies).
- Ensure continuous availability of clean utensils during service hours.
- Support kitchen setup before service and deep cleaning after service.
- Assist in kitchen closing duties.
- 4. Store & Inventory SupportHelp in receiving kitchen supplies and moving stock to storage areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of dry store, walk-in chiller, and freezer areas.
- Follow FIFO practices while handling items (as instructed).
- 5. Safety & DisciplineFollow safety procedures to avoid slips, burns, and injuries.
- Wear proper uniform, gloves, cap, and safety shoes at all times.
- Maintain punctuality, discipline, and teamwork.
- Follow instructions from seniors without delay.
- Skills & RequirementsBasic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness.
- Ability to work long hours and stand for extended periods.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting kitchen items.
- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and during peak hours.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Prior experience preferred but freshers can be trained.
