• Welding & Fabrication: Operate MIG welding equipment to fuse steel, aluminum, or other metal components based on specifications.
• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints,, engineering drawings, and work orders to plan layouts.
• Machine Setup: Select proper wire, adjust gas shielding (Argon/CO2), and set amperage/voltage for optimal welding.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect completed joints for defects like porosity or cracking, grinding or repairing as necessary.
• Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards, including PPE usage. Perform preventive maintenance on torches, wire feeders, and tools.
• Fabrication Tasks: Tack welding, cutting, grinding, and assembling metal parts.
