The focus sectors are smart metering, smart lighting, Industrial IoT and emergency exit lighting.


Omkar Energy Solutions is based out of one of the most professional offices set up in Mohali, Chandigarh Tricity. 

About the Role:

The Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services necessary for business operations. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, vendor management, and inventory control while maintaining quality and compliance with company policies.Primary Deliverables:Procurement & Vendor Management 

  • Inventory and Compliance control 
  • Cross Functional Coordination


Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Procurement & Vendor Management Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs and ensure timely procurement.

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships.
  • Ensure procurement aligns with organizational needs, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Assess and onboard vendors based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and payment conditions with vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve any supply-related issues.

2. Inventory and Compliance Control 

  • Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
  • Track procurement costs, budget adherence, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits, contracts, and purchase records.

3. Cross - Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with finance, operations, and production teams to forecast procurement needs.
  • Collaborate with the legal team for contract management and risk assessment.
  • Support internal stakeholders by ensuring timely and efficient supply chain operations.


Qualifications & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s/Master degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.


Key Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Negotiation and objection-handling skills.
  • Willingness to occasional travel to vendor locations
