Job Description
Job Title: Sales Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Sales Engineer to combine technical knowledge with sales skills to promote, sell, and support technical products and solutions. The role involves understanding customer requirements, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and coordinating with internal teams to close projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities
Meet clients to understand technical and commercial requirements
Promote and sell technical products, systems, and solutions
Prepare technical submittals, BOQs, cost estimates, and quotations
Conduct product presentations and technical demonstrations
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams
Follow up on proposals, negotiations, and closures
Participate in tenders, bids, and pre-bid meetings
Maintain customer relationships and ensure client satisfaction
Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs
Prepare sales reports and forecasts
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, IT, or related field)
2–5 years of experience in technical or project sales
Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications
Knowledge of relevant systems/products (e.g., ELV, automation, IT)
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability to prepare professional proposals and documentation
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills
Experience in project-based or solution sales
Knowledge of tendering and contracting procedures
Familiarity with industry standards and compliance
Valid driving license (project-dependent)
CRM experience
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Sales revenue and margin
Number of leads and conversions
Tender success rate
Customer retention
