Job Description
Job Title: - Area Sales Manager (ASM for Gujarat - Ahmedabad))
About the Job
● This is a middle management and team leadership role in the sales domain for specific area (Gujarat - Ahmedabad) as a Strategic Business Unit(SBU) and Profit Center Head
● The ASM is expected to drive his / her sales team to achieve sales targets of individual team members as well as the team as a whole with complete responsibility for the P & L account of the SBU.

Duties & Responsibilities
● Supporting team members through continuous coaching , mentoring and handholding
● Keeping himself / herself abreast of the product knowledge of the organization and sharing it with the team members and customers.
● Achieving team sales and collection targets
○ New Customer acquisition targets
○ Customer retention targets
○ Sales Collection targets
● Ensuring high levels of Satisfaction for both the Internal and External Customers
● Upholding corporate values , culture and organization's code of conduct
● Following high standards of professional integrity
● Retention of team members
● Directly reporting to the Director(CEO)
● Ensuring compliance of the self and the team members with all mandatory reporting requirements, training and meeting schedules.
● Ensuring transparency in documentation , while dealing and working with the customers, team members , colleagues and management of the organization
● Devoting complete time and energy to the professional assignment of the organization.
● Conducting daily sales huddle with the team members
● Ensuring proper sales coverage of the applicable territory (Gujarat - Ahmedabad)
● Maintaining confidentiality of company strategy, data and other sensitive information
● Leading by example
● Following strict standards of punctuality for scheduled activities
● Not using derogatory or abusive language with colleagues , subordinates, customers , vendors, competitors and general public while representing the organization
● Jointly setting targets for the team as a whole in consultation with the Director
● Jointly setting targets in consultation with the individual team members
● Driving and ensuring team motivation and performance
● Focusing on enhancing the required skills and competencies for the self as well as the team members for effectively implementing the organizational strategy.
● Providing valuable insights and suggestions for improving the productivity and performance of the organization
● Achieving excellent ratings, for the self and the team members, in product knowledge and skill tests , conducted from time to time.
● Understanding the strategy of the organization and be committed to its successful implementation
● Contributing towards building performance oriented culture of meritocracy in the team
● Being courteous, polite and professional at all times on / off duty while representing the organization
● Be free from the influence of Tobacco (pan masala / cigarette), alcohol or any other types of drugs / addiction at all times on / off duty while representing the organization
● Identifying quality prospects, building healthy professional relationships and presenting company products in a suitable light
● Having good working knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, Powerpoint, Email, Whatsapp

Desired Candidate Profile, Qualifications & Experience
● At least 5 years frontline sales experience in the specified location
● Candidates with experience in sales are welcome to apply but experience in
○ business to business(B2B) selling,
○ Pharmaceutical selling and
○ commercial selling to government , public or private institutions
will be an added advantage.
● Team handling experience of 1 to 2 years is desirable but not essential
● Age below 35 years as on the date of applying for the job
● At least a Bachelor's degree with good grades in any discipline. Professional qualifications are desirable but not essential.
● Pleasing personality with good written and verbal communication skills in English, Hindi or specific regional language.
● Presentable with professional demeanor and etiquette
● Own conveyance, preferably a 4 wheeler, with valid driving license
Remuneration:
● Remuneration would range between 8 to 12 lacs (INR) per annum based on candidate profile & experience. It comprises fixed salary and conveyance reimbursement as per the organization policy.
● In addition to fixed salary, the job offers additional performance linked incentives and programs for rewarding good performance.
● Salary shall not be a constraint for the deserving candidate.
