Account Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Assistant to join our finance team. The Account Assistant will provide crucial support in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and a desire to grow within a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable/Receivable:Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Generate and send invoices to clients.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
• General Ledger Maintenance:Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Data Entry and Record Keeping:Accurately input financial data into accounting software.
• Maintain organized and accessible financial records.
• Prepare and generate financial reports as required.
• Administrative Support:Assist with filing, photocopying, and other administrative tasks.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects.
• Compliance:ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
