Job Description

Accountant – Two Wheeler Dealership


Profile Summary:

A detail-oriented and result-driven Accountant with experience in managing financial operations of a two-wheeler dealership. Skilled in handling billing, inventory accounting, GST compliance, and coordination with OEMs and financiers. Ensures accurate financial reporting, cost control, and smooth day-to-day accounting functions aligned with dealership operations.



Key Responsibilities:

• Sales & Billing Accounting

• Record vehicle sales (cash, finance, exchange)

• Reconcile daily sales with invoices and receipts

• Maintain accurate retail and wholesale billing records

• Inventory & Stock Accounting

• Track vehicle stock (model-wise, chassis-wise)

• Maintain records of inward/outward stock

• Reconcile physical stock with system stock

• GST & Compliance

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)

• Ensure proper tax invoicing and input credit tracking

• Handle audits and compliance documentation

• Receivables & Payables Management

• Monitor outstanding payments from customers & financiers

• Process vendor payments and expense tracking

• Reconcile OEM accounts (e.g., Hero MotoCorp)

• Bank & Finance Coordination

• Daily bank reconciliation

• Coordinate with banks/NBFCs for vehicle finance cases

• Track loan disbursements and closures

• Expense & Cost Control

• Monitor dealership operational expenses

• Maintain petty cash and expense approvals

• Assist in budgeting and cost optimization

• Reporting & MIS

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports

• Provide sales, profitability, and expense insights

• Support management in decision-making



Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Tally / ERP systems

• Good understanding of GST & taxation

• Proficiency in MS Excel

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Knowledge of dealership operations is an advantage



Qualifications:

• B.Com / M.Com / Inter CA

• 2–5 years of experience (preferably in automobile dealership)

• Financial accuracy and compliance focus

• Ability to handle high-volume transactions

• Coordination with multiple departments (sales, service, finance)

• Strong organizational and reporting skills
