Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a Accountant (General Ledger) to strengthen our India finance team. This role focuses on accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and statutory compliance, ensuring that our financial records meet both local and group reporting requirements. The position is ideal for an experienced accountant who is hands-on with day-to-day finance operations and has good knowledge of Indian accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Ledger & Bookkeeping

• Maintain accurate accounting records, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Prepare and review monthly trial balances, ensuring accuracy of ledgers.

2. Reconciliations

• Perform bank reconciliations, vendor and customer account reconciliations.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and support HQ reporting.

3. Compliance & Statutory Filings

• Support GST, TDS, PF, and other statutory returns in collaboration with external consultants.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS and company policies.

4. Accounts Payable & Receivable Support

• Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and payments.
• Assist in credit control and collections follow-ups.

5. Reporting & Audit

• Assist in monthly/quarterly closing and management reporting.
• Prepare audit schedules and support statutory/internal audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of Indian accounting standards and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills in English.
