Accountant

Department: Accounts & Procurement

Reporting To: Management / Accounts Head

• Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update daily accounting records, including sales, purchase, expense, and journal entries in accounting software.
• Prepare and maintain books of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other periodic financial reports.
• Handle vendor payments, client invoicing, and ensure timely settlements and reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliation, and maintain petty cash records.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for procurement activities, including sourcing, quotation comparison, purchase order preparation, and material follow-ups.
• Assist management in budgeting, cost control, and expense monitoring.
• Support in audit preparation, providing necessary documents and explanations to auditors.
• Maintain all accounting documents and records systematically for future reference and compliance.
• Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• Proficiency in Tally / Excel / Accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and general accounting principles.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, especially combining accounts and procurement tasks.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical mindset.
