Job Description

Personal Accountant – Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

Dedicated Full-Time Personal / Private-Office Role

1. Personal Financial Record Management

- Maintain accurate and well-organized records of all personal and family financial transactions.

- Reconcile income, expenses, reimbursements, and outstanding receivables.

- Maintain documentation for investments, insurance, EMIs, loans, and high-value personal

purchases.

- Create structured digital and physical filing systems for all personal financial documentation.

2. Personal Banking, Payments & Collections

- Manage all personal banking operations including transfers, cheque deposits, NEFT/RTGS, UPI

transactions, and reconciliations.

- Ensure timely processing of personal payments: utilities, credit cards, insurance, EMIs, society

dues, and taxes.

- Prepare and issue personal invoices where applicable (rent, reimbursements, personal business

income).

- Track and follow up on payment collections; maintain updated payables/receivables aging reports.

- Communicate payment reminders and updates in clear, polished English.

3. Personal Investments & Asset Tracking

- Maintain a consolidated statement of personal and family investments.

- Track maturity dates, renewal points, and returns.

- Prepare monthly or quarterly summaries for personal review.

- Maintain documentation for properties, vehicles, insurance policies, and long-term assets.

4. Personal Tax & Compliance

- Coordinate with the CA for personal income tax filings, advance tax, capital gains, and

documentation.

- Track Form 26AS, TDS certificates, investment proofs, and deductions.

- Prepare well-structured tax files and summaries in excellent written English.

- Ensure compliance with all personal financial and tax regulations.

5. Personal Budgeting, Expense & Project Expense Tracking

- Prepare monthly and annual personal budgets.

- Track expenses vs. budgets, highlight deviations, and recommend optimizations.

- Maintain detailed logs and tracking sheets for personal projects (home interiors, property work,major purchases).

- Compare project expenses against approved budgets and highlight overruns.

- Present monthly cash-flow reports and financial summaries.

6. Vendor, Staff & Service Provider Payments (Personal Only)

- Manage payments for household staff, drivers, and personal service providers.

- Maintain salary, advance, and reimbursement logs.

- Verify vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.

- Maintain transparent records for all personal staff-related finances.

7. Reporting & MIS (Personal Office)

- Prepare a weekly personal finance summary (payments, receivables, upcoming dues, balances).

- Deliver a monthly dashboard summarizing expenses, investments, returns, and tax updates.

- Prepare an annual consolidated personal financial report.

- All reports must be presented in clear, well-written English.

8. Confidentiality & Dedicated Support

- Maintain highest confidentiality over all personal, family, and financial information.

- This is a dedicated personal role – not shared with any corporate or business function.

- Ensure secure digital and physical backup of financial documents.

- Demonstrate maturity, discretion, and reliability at all times.

Preferred Background

- B.Com / M.Com with 5–10 years of experience in personal accounting or family office roles.

- Excellent English communication (written and verbal) is essential.

- Strong proficiency in Excel, Tally, Google Workspace, and digital banking.

- Experience with invoicing, collections, tax coordination, investment tracking, and project expense

management.

- Trustworthy, detail-oriented, proactive, and strong in follow-ups
