DESIGNATION: Accounts Executive

Experience: 0-2 years preferably with interest and understanding of fine jewellery / Luxe brands

Type of Job: Full Time (Monday to Saturday)

Responsibilities:

● Gold Accounting: Maintain accurate records of gold stock, including purchases, sales, returns, and transfers. Monitor and reconcile gold inventory regularly to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies. Prepare gold accounting reports and statements as required by management.

● Financial Record Keeping: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Record and maintain financial transactions in Tally, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

● Taxation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with GST and other statutory requirements. Prepare and file tax returns, and coordinate with auditors during audits. Keep up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes.

● Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of bank balances. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.

● Cost Management: Analyse and manage costs related to the production and sale of jewellery. Implement cost control measures to improve profitability.

● Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

● Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the jewellery industry.

● Proficiency in Tally ERP software and gold accounting.

● Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
