Accounts Manager

Role Overview:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations using Tally and Excel, ensuring compliance with GST, TDS, Excise duty, and Maharashtra State Excise regulations. The candidate should have knowledge of inventory accounting, costing, taxation for liquor businesses, and export documentation.

Job Description:

📘 Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Manage and maintain accounts in Tally ERP (Prime) including sales, purchase, ledger posting, credit/debit notes.
• Maintain cash book, bank book, journal entries, and reconciliation.
• Handle daily bookkeeping and MIS reporting using Excel.
• 📦 Inventory & CostingTrack and record wastage, bottling loss, and EPR records.
• Maintain raw material and finished goods inventory, including ENA, spirit, packaging, and excise stamps.
• Costing of batches, excise duty calculations, and stock valuation.

💸 Taxation & Compliance

Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, 9), TDS, and support annual audits.

• Maintain compliance with Maharashtra Excise Rules, stock registers, and PD-25/PD-27 submissions.
• Liasoning with excise department for permits, passes (Form FL, CL, EXPORT), label approvals, and duty payments.

📊 Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare monthly profit-loss statements, balance sheet, and financial reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s/Master’s in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.

• 3+ years’ experience in accounting, preferably in liquor / beverage / FMCG manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP/Prime, Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, MIS), and basic compliance software.
• Knowledge of excise duty, GST, and inventory management.
