Job Title: Accountant

Job Role

The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, monitoring expenses, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, preparing financial reports, and supporting banking and import-related activities.

Roles, Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Daily Activities

• Verify all expenses daily including Cutter, Transport, Office, and Maintenance expenses (rate and quantity).
• Review all order-related documents on the next day, including Challan, Invoice, E-Way Bill, and MTC, and generate the E-Invoice.
• Allocate available funds daily towards supplier payments, expense invoices, transport payments, and loan repayments.
• Prepare and submit a daily report of outstanding debtors and creditors.
• Monitor selected customers whose payments exceed 90 days and follow up strictly to maintain the payment cycle within 90 days.

2. Weekly Activities

Prepare and submit the following weekly reports:

• Stock Report
• Pending Purchase Orders (PO) & Sales Orders (SO)
• Incoming Import Quantity Report

3. Monthly Activities

• Ensure GST and TDS compliance and timely filing as per government regulations.
• Submit the Stock Statement to the bank by the 5th of every month in the latest bank format.
• Ensure salary disbursement between the 7th and 10th of every month.
• Prepare and submit the following monthly reports:
• Repeat Customers Report
• Sales Comparison Report
• Bank Charges Report
• GST Input Report

4. Quarterly Activities

• Prepare the Quarterly Balance Sheet.
• Review and verify Form 26AS.
• Scrutinize and reconcile all party ledgers.

5. Sales Order & Discount Control

• Carefully verify every Sales Order (SO) before processing.
• Confirm all discount approvals with Kamlesh Sir and Vishal Sir.
• Maintain proper records in SO Excel and Jindal Discount Excel files.

6. Import & Banking Responsibilities

• Ensure import consignments are cleared on time to avoid penalties or interest.
• Prepare the cost sheet immediately after consignment arrival.
• Minimize LC discounting to improve cash flow and ensure faster payment realization.
• Submit annual LC & OD renewal documents to maintain the LC limit with the bank.
