Accounts Manager

Job Title: Accounts ManagerJob OverviewWe are looking for a qualified and experienced Accounts Manager to handle the complete accounting operations of the company. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end accounting, taxation, GST compliance, import–export accounting, statutory return filing, coordination with the Chartered Accountant (CA) and auditors, and managing a team of accountants to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complete accounting functions including books of accounts, journals, ledgers, and account finalization
• Handle import and export accounting, including:
• Documentation related to imports/exports
• Customs duty accounting, IGST on imports, export incentives, and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with GST laws, including:
• GST return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, etc.)
• Handling GST notices, audits, and assessments
• Manage taxation matters such as TDS, income tax computations, and return filing
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports
• Coordinate and work as per the guidelines and instructions of the CA and statutory auditors
• Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance reviews
• Ensure timely compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements
• Lead, supervise, and manage a team of accountants, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines
• Maintain proper accounting records, documentation, and internal controls
• Support management with financial analysis and decision-making inputs

Basic Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance
• Professional qualification such as CA (Inter), CMA, or equivalent will be preferred
• Mandatory experience in GST compliance and return filing
• Hands-on experience in import and export accounting
• Prior experience in team handling and coordination with CA/auditors

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, income tax, and statutory compliance
• Sound knowledge of import–export procedures, customs duties, and IGST on imports/exports
• Proficiency in accounting software (Zoho Books,Tally, ERP systems, etc.)
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting
• Ability to finalize accounts and support audits
