Job Description: Assistant Manager – IT Operations

Position Overview

The Assistant Manager – IT Operations will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the

organization’s IT ecosystem, with a primary focus on ERP implementation and optimization. The role

requires strong technical expertise, project coordination skills, and the ability to collaborate with

cross-functional teams to ensure smooth IT operations and business process alignment.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Implementation & Management

1. Assist in evaluating and shortlisting ERP vendors best suited to business requirements.

2. Map current ERP workflows, identify system gaps, and propose improvements.

3. Identify customization needs in shortlisted ERP system and coordinate with vendor for

development.

4. Liaise regularly with IT vendors to ensure timely and successful ERP implementation.

5. Train internal staff on ERP usage and provide ongoing support to resolve functional or

technical queries.

6. Analyse gaps in existing IT software systems and lead initiatives to rebuild or enhance them

for future business scalability.

Education & Expertise Requirements

1. Strong knowledge of programming languages and technologies such as Java, .NET, SQL, and

related IT platforms.

2. Ability to coordinate effectively with the operations team and other business stakeholders.

3. Experience working with various software architectures, dashboards, and enterprise

systems.

4. Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in IT operations, ERP systems, or software

development environments.
