AWS Support Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a hands-on AWS Support Engineer who can manage day-to-day tasks on Amazon Web Services. The role is focused on basic cloud operations, troubleshooting, and maintaining our AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudFront, and VPC.
• Create and manage users, permissions, and access policies (IAM).
• Handle S3 buckets, file uploads, lifecycle rules, Glacier restores, and CloudFront access.
• Monitor servers, storage, and costs using AWS tools.
• Troubleshoot issues related to AWS services, networking, and permissions.
• Deploy updates or changes as required (server changes, bucket updates, security groups).
• Perform backups, snapshots, and basic disaster recovery tasks.
• Document configurations and follow simple cloud best practices.

Basic Skills Required

• Good understanding of AWS Console (not necessarily advanced architecture).
• Ability to create/modify IAM policies, security groups, and bucket permissions.
• Knowing how to launch EC2 instances, connect via SSH, and manage volumes.
• Familiarity with S3 — uploading, restoring, lifecycle rules, permissions.
• Basic networking concepts: VPC, subnets, DNS, load balancers (even at beginner level).
• Basic Linux commands (SSH, file operations, service restarts).

Nice to Have (Not mandatory)

• Knowledge of CloudWatch monitoring and simple alerts.
• Understanding of CloudFront for content delivery.
• Ability to script small automations (Bash/Python) — optional.
