Job Description

Business Development Manager

Overview

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth, increasing market share, and expanding outreach for educational products and services. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening existing client relationships. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of meeting revenue targets in the education sector.

  • Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, networking, and relationship building.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including schools, societies, government bodies, and potential clients.
  • Follow up consistently with leads to ensure timely conversions.
  • Conduct school and society tie-ups in targeted areas.
  • Identify reasons for non-conversion and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Schedule home visits when required to close enquiries.

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Convert leads into clients while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

3. Business Strategy

  • Create and execute business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Work with senior management to support overall business objectives.
  • Plan and drive festive offers and other promotional initiatives.

4. Market Analysis

  • Conduct market research to track trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities.
  • Understand customer needs and feedback to improve products and services.

5. Partnership Development

  • Identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities.
  • Negotiate and finalize strategic partnerships that align with business goals.

6. Client Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with key clients.
  • Serve as the main point of communication between clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure smooth service delivery and high satisfaction levels.

7. Marketing & Promotion

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement promotional campaigns.
  • Use multiple channels to increase brand visibility and attract new clients.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, ideally in the education sector.
  • Strong understanding of the education industry and its current trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactical plans.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.


  • Working Conditions
  • Working Days: 6 days (including Sundays)
  • Timings: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Salary: 10%–15% hike on current CTC
  • Locations: Areas from Ghatkopar to Byculla and Andheri to Bandra
