ROLE OVERVIEW

The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for the smooth execution of all banquet events, ensuring high standards of service, coordination, and guest satisfaction. This role acts as the key link between clients, service staff, kitchen, décor, and vendors during events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Operations & Execution

• Supervise and coordinate banquet events from setup to closure
• Ensure event layouts (seating, buffet, stage, décor) are executed as per BEO (Banquet Event Order)
• Oversee food service standards, buffet replenishment, and timing
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards at all times

Team Supervision

• Brief and allocate duties to service staff before each event
• Monitor staff grooming, punctuality, and service etiquette
• Manage manpower during events and handle on-ground challenges
• Coordinate with housekeeping and stewarding teams

Client & Vendor Coordination

• Act as the single point of contact for clients during the event
• Coordinate with kitchen, decorators, DJs, AV teams, and other vendors
• Address client requests, feedback, and complaints promptly
• Ensure special client instructions (VIPs, rituals, timelines) are followed

Planning & Documentation

• Understand and execute Banquet Event Orders accurately
• Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs
• Ensure billing accuracy and report any deviations or damages
• Maintain event records and daily operation reports

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to venue SOPs and service standards
• Monitor food quality presentation and service flow
• Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with licensing, safety, and venue policies

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 years of experience in banquets / hospitality / events
• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred
• Experience in handling weddings, social events, and corporate functions
• Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer skills (preferred)
