Job Summary: -

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages, while delivering exceptional customer service. The role involves maintaining a clean, organized work area, ensuring that all equipment is in working condition, and adhering to food safety standards. The Barista will also assist customers with product knowledge, take orders, process payments, and contribute to a welcoming environment within the cafÃ.

This position requires a passion for coffee, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while consistently providing high-quality beverages.

Job Description: -

• Prepare and Serve Beverages: Craft a wide variety of hot and cold drinks, including espresso-based beverages, teas, and specialty drinks.
• Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders, and answer questions regarding the menu, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Operate coffee-making equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and milk frothers, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance for optimal performance.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the cafà is clean and well-organized, including workstations, counters, seating areas, and equipment.
• Follow Recipes: Prepare beverages and food items to exact specifications, following recipes and company standards to maintain consistent quality.
• Stocking and Inventory: Monitor product stock levels, restock items, and assist with inventory management.
• Upselling: Suggest additional items or add-ons to enhance the customer experience (e.g., recommending pastries or alternative milk options).
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment, reporting any issues to management for repairs.
• Adhere to Safety and Health Standards: Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including food handling, storage, and cleanliness protocols.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods and contribute to a positive work environment.
• This Barista role is ideal for someone who enjoys a vibrant cafà atmosphere and is looking to enhance their customer service and barista skills.

Job Qualification: -

• Keen understanding and knowledge of Specialty Coffee practices preferred.
• Previous experience as a barista in a hotel, restaurant, cafe, or similar industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating manual coffee machines and brewing equipment
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail, particularly with drink preparation and customer requests.
• A passion for coffee and knowledge of different brewing methods.
• High school or equivalent qualification
• Friendly and energetic personality with a customer-first attitude.
