Business Development Manager (BDM)

Job Description

Handle all export/import logistics and documentation, ensure shipments move smoothly, documents are correct, and customs & bank-related processes are properly completed.

Core responsibilities

• Prepare & verify export documents: commercial invoice, packing list, B/L or AWB, certificate of origin, insurance, phytosanitary /policy documents as required.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, CHA, shipping lines, air cargo agents, and ensure ETD/ETA commitments.
• Coordinate sample shipments (courier/air) for international clients; track and resolve courier exceptions.
• Manage port/airport pickup coordination and container stuffing oversight when required.
• Ensure all customs declarations and documentation are compliant with Indian export rules and destination country import requirements.
• Work with finance to reconcile shipment invoices, freight invoices, and insurance claims.
• Handle ID proofing for clients and assist in bank documentation for export proceeds (advice, L/C, remittance tracking).

Requirements:

Bachelor’s / Master's in Commerce, Logistics, International Trade, or related.
