Job Description – Footwear Sales Person

Position: Footwear Sales

Associate Department: Retail – Footwear

Location: Store-Based

Reports To: Department Manager

Role Overview

The Footwear Sales Person is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, driving sales, and maintaining the overall presentation of the footwear section. The role requires strong product knowledge, customer interaction skills, and the ability to understand customer needs to recommend suitable products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service

• Greet customers warmly and understand their footwear needs.
• Assist customers in finding the right size, style, and type of footwear.
• Provide product information regarding materials, comfort, durability, and features.
• Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally.

2. Sales & Targets

• Achieve daily/weekly/monthly sales targets.
• Upsell and cross-sell related products (socks, insoles, shoe care items).
• Promote new arrivals, special offers, and store promotions.

3. Product

• KnowledgeMaintain thorough knowledge of all footwear brands and styles.
• Stay updated on new launches, trends, and footwear technologies.
• Understand sizing conversions and fitting requirements.

4. Store

• Operations Ensure proper display, cleanliness, and organization of the footwear section.
• Replenish stock and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Assist in stock counting and checking deliveries.
• Follow store SOPs for billing, packing, and handling returns/exchanges.

5. Visual Merchandising

• Support the VM team in maintaining attractive and impactful footwear displays.
• Ensure shelves, racks, and sample shoes are well-maintained.

Skills & Requirements

Education - Minimum 12th Pass (or equivalent).

Experience - 1–3 years of experience in retail sales; footwear experience preferred.

Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong selling and negotiation abilities.
• Basic understanding of retail POS systems.
• Customer-focused mindset with a pleasant attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long hours.
• Comfortable assisting with stocking and product handling.
