Job Description
Position OverviewThe Domestic Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, market penetration, and brand visibility for the company’s rugs and floor-covering products within the domestic market. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing key retail and distributor relationships, supervising sales teams, and ensuring achievement of revenue and profitability targets.
- Key Responsibilities1. Sales Strategy & PlanningDevelop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Analyze domestic market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Create region-wise sales plans and revenue forecasts.
- 2. Business DevelopmentIdentify and onboard new dealers, distributors, retail chains, interior designers, and project clients.
- Explore new market segments (e.g., hospitality, corporate offices, architects, home décor stores).
- Lead negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract finalizations.
- 3. Account ManagementManage key client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
- Resolve client issues promptly and maintain strong communication channels.
- Monitor performance of distributors and retail partners, ensuring alignment with sales objectives.
- 4. Team LeadershipRecruit, train, and supervise regional sales executives and field staff.
- Set clear performance targets and track team KPIs.
- Provide coaching and conduct periodic performance reviews.
- 5. Sales Operations & ExecutionOversee order processing, follow-up, delivery coordination, and payment collection.
- Conduct product presentations, promotional activities, and dealer meets.
- Collaborate with marketing to support local campaigns, product launches, and exhibitions.
- 6. Reporting & AnalysisPrepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.
- Track sales performance, pricing trends, and competitor activities.
- Recommend improvements in product assortment, pricing, and distribution.
