Fellowship in Joint Replacement Surgery

Department: Orthopaedics

Location: Upasani Super Speciality Hospital (USSH)

Duration: 6 months – 1 year

Eligibility:

• MS / DNB / MD (Orthopaedics) / D.Ortho
• Candidates with a keen interest in Arthroplasty & Joint Replacement surgeries

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in primary and revision knee and hip replacement surgeries.
• Participate actively in pre-operative planning and post-operative patient management.
• Learn surgical techniques, implant selection, and intra-operative decision-making under senior consultants.
• Attend outpatient clinics, follow-up rounds, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Involve in academic discussions, case presentations, and journal clubs.
• Participate in clinical audits and research projects related to arthroplasty.

Learning Objectives:

• To gain hands-on exposure to advanced joint replacement procedures.
• To understand perioperative management and rehabilitation protocols.
• To develop independent surgical and patient care skills.
• To enhance knowledge of implant systems and instrumentation.
