Job Description — Field Sales Representative (B2B Wooden Packaging)

 

Industry: Industrial Wooden Packaging (Boxes, Crates, Pallets, Export Packing, On-site Packing Solutions)

 

Location: Field-based (with travel to customer sites, factories, and project locations)

 

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Field Sales Representative to drive business growth in the industrial wooden packaging segment. The role involves generating leads and visiting customer sites, understanding packing requirements, proposing tailored packaging solutions, and building long-term relationships with industrial clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Identify and develop new business opportunities with manufacturers, exporters, and other industry segments.

·       Conduct site visits and surveys to understand packaging requirements, take measurements, and gather technical details.

·       Propose suitable solutions including boxes, crates, pallets, skids, export packing, and on-site packing services.

·       Prepare and follow up on quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and support order closure.

·       Coordinate closely with design, production, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution.

·       Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to generate repeat business.

·       Monitor order progress and support customers during delivery and packing execution.

·       Gather market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing trends, and upcoming projects.

·       Maintain accurate records of visits, opportunities, and sales pipeline.

·       Support payment follow-ups and ensure customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications

·       Experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial products, packaging, logistics, or related sectors.

·       Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

·       Ability to understand customer needs and recommend practical solutions.

·       Good negotiation and follow-up skills.

·       Comfortable with frequent travel and working in industrial environments.

·       Basic understanding of measurements, specifications, and costing concepts.

·       Self-motivated, organized, and disciplined in field reporting.

·        

Preferred (Nice to Have)

·       Experience in wooden packaging, export packing, or industrial supplies

·       Knowledge of fumigation / ISPM-15 / heat treatment requirements

·       Existing network within manufacturing or export industries

·       Ability to understand basic drawings or machinery dimensions

·
