Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and reliable UPS Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support industrial UPS systems deployed at client sites across India. The role involves field service for rental UPS systems ranging from small capacities to large critical power installations, ensuring maximum uptime and customer satisfaction.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & CommissioningInstall and commission UPS systems, battery banks, and associated electrical panels at client sites
• Perform pre-dispatch inspection and site readiness checks
• Execute load testing, synchronization, and system validation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes
• Maintenance & ServiceConduct preventive maintenance (PM) as per schedule
• Diagnose and repair faults in UPS, rectifiers, inverters, static switches, and batteries
• Replace faulty components including IGBTs, capacitors, control cards, fans, etc.
• Maintain service records and reports
• Troubleshooting & Emergency SupportProvide rapid onsite support during breakdowns
• Analyze alarms, logs, and error codes (including communication faults such as CAN bus errors)
• Coordinate with OEMs if advanced support is required
• Ensure minimal downtime for critical loads
• Battery SystemsTest and maintain VRLA / SMF / Tubular battery banks
• Measure parameters such as voltage, current, internal resistance, temperature
• Perform battery replacement and inter-cell connection checks
• Documentation & ReportingPrepare service reports, commissioning reports, FAT/SAT checklists
• Maintain inventory of spares and tools
• Submit daily activity updates to service coordinator
• Client CoordinationCommunicate professionally with client engineers and facility teams
• Provide basic operational guidance to customers
• Support site audits and technical inspections
• Required QualificationsDiploma / ITI / B.E. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 2–8 years experience in UPS systems, power electronics, or critical power equipment
• Experience with industrial UPS (preferably 10 kVA to 1500+ kVA systems)
• Technical SkillsStrong understanding of power electronics and electrical systems
• Experience with major UPS brands (Emerson/Liebert, APC, Eaton, Numeric, Delta, etc.)
• Ability to read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams
• Knowledge of batteries, rectifiers, inverters, and static switches
• Familiarity with testing tools (multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester)

• Physical & Travel RequirementsWillingness to travel extensively across India
• Ability to work at industrial sites, data centers, hospitals, and construction locations

• Knowledge of parallel UPS systems and synchronization
• Experience handling large battery banks
• OEM training certification
• Valid driving license
