Job Description

1. Customer Service & Sales

  • Welcome customers warmly and engage them in a , professional manner.
  • Provide detailed product information, including waffle varieties, toppings, portion sizes, prices, and ongoing promotions.
  • Recommend products or combinations to suit customer preferences, with the goal of upselling or cross-selling (e.g., beverages, sides, or meal combos).
  • Handle customer questions, feedback, and complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Build positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business and brand loyalty.

2. Product Preparation & Presentation

  • Prepare waffle batter and cook waffles according to company recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Add toppings, sauces, and garnishes based on customer selections or standard recipes.
  • Ensure all food items are fresh, visually appealing, and meet quality standards before serving.
  • Maintain attractive and well-organized product displays at the counter.
  • Follow company guidelines for food portioning, temperature control, and product rotation (FIFO method).

3. Sales Transactions & Cash Handling

  • Operate POS systems to process cash, card, or digital payments accurately.
  • Issue receipts, manage change, and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security in handling transactions.

4. Hygiene, Safety, and Maintenance

  • Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and occupational health standards.
  • Clean and sanitize counters, waffle machines, utensils, and food preparation areas regularly.
  • Wear appropriate uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Report any equipment malfunction, safety hazards, or product quality concerns to management immediately.
  • Dispose of waste properly and keep the workspace organized.

5. Inventory & Stock Management

  • Monitor ingredient and packaging stock levels (e.g., waffle mix, toppings, sauces, napkins).
  • Assist with daily or weekly inventory counts and restocking.
  • Notify the supervisor of shortages or ordering needs to prevent stockouts or waste.

6. Teamwork & Operations Support

  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to maintain efficient service flow.
  • Assist in setting up and closing the counter, including cleaning, restocking, and preparing for the next day’s operation.
  • Participate in promotional events, sampling campaigns, and seasonal product introductions.
  • Contribute ideas to improve sales strategies, product presentation, and customer engagement.
