IBM AIX Administrator

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled IBM AIX Administrator to manage and support AIX-based systems running on IBM Power servers. The candidate should have hands-on experience in installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of AIX environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure and maintain IBM AIX 6.x/7.x servers.
• Manage LPARs. VIOS. and HMC in IBM Power Systems environment.
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Manage LVM, file systems, user administrations, and patch management.
• Configure and manage backups (mksysb, NIM).
• Troubleshoot hardware. OS, and application-related issues.
• Implement security policies and system hardening.
• Provide production support and participate in on-call rotation.
• Automate routine tasks using Shell Scripting.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of IBM AIX Administration.
• Experience with PowerVM, LPAR, VIOS.
• Good understanding of SAN, storage, and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of NIM, mksysb backup, patching.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Perl).
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
