Job Description

Job Title: Head Chef (Multi-Cuisine)Location: Mumbai

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹24,000 per month

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef with strong knowledge of Chinese, Tandoor, Indian, and Pan Asian cuisine. The candidate will be responsible for managing overall kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and leading the kitchen team.

Head Chef is responsible for menu planning, food preparation, staff supervision, and maintaining kitchen standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:Manage complete kitchen operations and daily food production
  • Prepare and design menus (Chinese, Tandoor, Indian & Pan Asian)
  • Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff (Commi, CDP, helpers)
  • Maintain hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Handle inventory, stock control, and vendor coordination
  • Control food cost, wastage, and kitchen expenses
  • Ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Maintain SOPs and standard recipes
  • Plan daily production and kitchen workflow

Head chefs typically oversee food quality, staff, inventory, and kitchen operations to ensure smooth functioning.

  • Requirements:Minimum 3–6 years experience as Head Chef / Sous Chef
  • Strong knowledge of multi-cuisine (Chinese, Tandoor, Indian, Pan Asian)
  • Leadership and team handling skills
  • Knowledge of food costing and inventory management
  • Ability to work in fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Additional Responsibilities:Hiring and training kitchen staff
  • Menu innovation and new dish development
  • Maintaining kitchen discipline and teamwork
  • Handling guest feedback related to food
