We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience using Tally Prime, and proficiency in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and update financial records using Tally Prime software.
2. Prepare and process invoices, payments, and journal entries.
3. Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable.
4. Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
5. Generate financial reports and analyze data for management review.
6. Support senior accountants with audit preparations and tax filings.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial transactions.
8. Stay updated with accounting regulations and industry trends.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Proficiency in Tally Prime software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Knowledge of Indian accounting standards and taxation is a plus.
6. Prior experience in handling GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances is desirable.
