Mechanical Draftsman

Technical Skills Required as below:

• SolidWorks Proficiency:
• Creating parts, assemblies, and drawings, including using features like design tables and surfacing tools. 
• 3D Modeling and 2D Drafting:
• Generating detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings from sketches, notes, and other resources. 
• Mechanical Design Principles:
• Understanding the fundamentals of mechanical design, including how to apply them in SolidWorks. 
• Engineering Drawing Interpretation:
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, understanding dimensions, tolerances, and other specifications. 
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T):
• Applying GD&T to ensure designs meet required specifications. 
• Material Properties and Specifications:
• Understanding how different materials behave and how to select appropriate materials for designs. 
• Product Data Management (PDM):
• Knowledge of PDM systems for managing and tracking design data. 
• Simulation and Analysis:
• Understanding how to use SolidWorks Simulation for basic analysis and validation.
