Pest Control Executive

Position: Senior Operations Executive – Pest Control

Qualification: B.Sc. Agriculture (Mandatory)

Experience: 0-2 years in Pest Control / Agriculture

Overview:

Sr Executive (Entomologist) -Pest management plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective control and mitigation of pests. This position requires a thorough understanding of pest biology and integrated pest management (IPM) techniques. The individual will work closely with the operational team to implement pest control strategies.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular surveys and monitoring to identify pest populations, assess pest pressure, and anticipate potential outbreaks.

2. Responsible for accurate scheduling and maintaining accurate scheduling records. Utilize integrated pest management (IPM) principles to select appropriate control methods, including biological and chemical measures.

3. Coordinate the application of pesticides and other pest control products, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.

4. Monitor the efficacy of pest control measures and adjust strategies as necessary to maintain optimal pest suppression.

5. Train and supervise an operational team in proper pest monitoring, identification, and control techniques.

6. Maintain accurate records of pest activity, control measures applied, and damage assessments for reporting and analysis purposes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in BSC(Agriculture), BSC (Chemistry/Biology/Zoology), Entomology, Crop protection or related field. A master's degree is preferred but not required.

2. Proven experience in agricultural pest management preferred

3. Basic knowledge of pest biology and control measures.

4. Familiarity with integrated pest management (IPM) principles and techniques.

5. Proficiency in pest monitoring methods, including sampling, trapping, and visual observation Ability to identify common pests.

6. Knowledge of pesticide application and handling, with knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements

7. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions

8. Basic communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

10. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
