Pharmacist

Job Summary:

The Hospital Purchase Executive is responsible for procuring medical, non-medical, and general consumables required for smooth hospital operations. The role ensures timely availability of materials, cost control, vendor coordination, and compliance with hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure medical consumables, surgical items, pharmacy items, and general supplies
• Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers
• Prepare and process purchase orders as per approved indent
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with suppliers
• Verify invoices, delivery challans, and GRNs
• Maintain accurate purchase records and vendor database
• Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory
• Coordinate with stores, pharmacy, OT, nursing, and other departments
• Handle returns, replacements, and discrepancies
• Assist in audits, stock verification, and cost-control initiatives
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and statutory requirements

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of hospital supplies and procurement processes
• Vendor management and negotiation skills
• Strong documentation and coordination abilities
• Basic computer proficiency (Excel, ERP/Hospital software)
• Attention to detail and time management skills

Qualification & Experience:

• Graduate in Pharmacy( D.Pharm/B.Pharm)
• 2–4 years of experience in hospital purchase or healthcare procurement
