Purchase Executive

Key Responsibilities 

Pruchase strategy

1.      Define the overall material procurement strategy based on project budget constraints, project schedule, market situation, site issues and sourcing contingencies

2.     Forecast procurement needs based on project progress and update the material procurement schedule

3.     Monitor market rates of critical items and propose suitable hedging mechanisms to control costs

4.   Research, identify and evaluate alternate / new materials for use in projects and conduct cost-benefit analysis of using these new materials versus existing materials

Purchase and inventory

1.     Process material requisitions from sites, factory and HO in a timely manner

2.    Conduct quality audits of material received from vendors

3.    Track inventory levels at project sites and factory

4.    Negotiate rates with vendors at defined frequency and as per market demands

Vendor Management

1.     Identify vendors for various material requirement (especially for A-class items) through market survey, enquiries

2.     Evaluation of vendors through past / current performance, references,

3.     Approval and emplanelment of vendors after price negotiations and agreement on quality & service levels

Process Orientation

1.     Comply with all processes for procurement & vendor management

2. Comply with all statutory & regulatory guidelines

Key Skills / Experience Required

Educational Qualification

 • UG: Diploma or B.E. in Civil

• PG: MBA in materials management or operations management

• 3-5 years of experience in construction / real estate / interiors / infrastructure industry

• 1-2 years of experience on ‘Materials Management’ module of any ERP/Tally

• Proficient in MS-Office

• Negotiation skills

• Attention to detail
