Purchase Executive

Role Summary

Lead procurement and strategic sourcing of IT hardware, software, and advanced technology solutions to support projects, tenders, and service commitments while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and future-ready technology adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing

• Source IT equipment, software, and technology solutions across domains (AI, IoT, surveillance, networking, AV, data center, robotics, etc.)
• Identify reliable OEMs, distributors, and emerging technology suppliers
• Evaluate multiple sourcing options for cost, availability, and compliance
• Ensure timely procurement aligned with project schedules

Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and partners
• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, delivery timelines, and support commitments
• Monitor vendor performance, reliability, and service quality
• Build alternate vendor base to reduce dependency risks

Technical & Specification Understanding

• Interpret technical specifications, BOQs, and compliance requirements
• Coordinate with technical teams to validate product suitability
• Ensure sourced products meet tender and project specifications
• Track product lifecycle, compatibility, and upgrade paths

Tender & Project Procurement Support

• Support sourcing for government and enterprise tenders including participation on Government e Marketplace
• Obtain competitive quotations and technical documents
• Ensure compliance with bid requirements and timelines
• Manage procurement documentation and approvals

Market Intelligence & Innovation

• Track emerging technologies, new product launches, and pricing trends
• Identify innovative solutions that provide competitive advantage
• Recommend alternative technologies for better performance or cost
• Stay ahead of supply chain risks and market fluctuations

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, and contracts
• Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements
• Coordinate logistics, delivery tracking, and inventory updates

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of IT products and system integration business
• Techno-commercial evaluation capability
• Negotiation and vendor relationship skills
• Analytical mindset for cost optimization
• Ability to work in a fast-moving project environment

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate in Engineering / IT / Electronics / Supply Chain (preferred)
• 38 years experience in IT procurement or technology sourcing
• Experience with large projects, government business, or system integrators is an advantage
