Job Description

Industry: Industrial Machinery / Fire Suppression / Safety Equipment


  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of inspection techniques (e.g., dimensional inspection), NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), and calibration.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with BIS, EN standards, and IS codes (e.g., IS 2925, IS 15298 for safety gear).
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and build a "Quality First" culture.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like First Pass Yield (FPY) and Defect Rates.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with senior management, customers, and regulatory bodies. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10 years in manufacturing quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in Fire Fighting Equipment, Safety Systems, or Specialized Industrial Machinery is highly desirable.
  • Certifications: CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), CMQ/OE (Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence), or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred. Handling Specialty 

Operational Quality Control

  • Establish Incoming Quality Control (IQC) for raw materials (e.g., high-tensile brass/aluminum for fire equipment).
  • Establish In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) to stop production when defects are found, preventing further waste.
  • Supervise final testing of fire suppression systems and industrial machinery (e.g., pressure testing, functionality checks). 

Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure all safety products (e.g., extinguishers, PPE, rescue gear) conform to relevant BIS (IS), EN, or UL standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and laws, such as the Factories Act or specific fire safety codes.
  • Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, including customer, regulatory, and third-party certifications.
