If candidate has done Hotel management / Frankfinn or any Hospitality Certification will be Preferred.

JD FOR RECETIONIST: The first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting them, managing check-ins and check-outs, and handling reservations, payments, and inquiries. Key duties include operating the front desk, using hotel management software, coordinating with other departments like housekeeping, and resolving guest complaints to ensure a positive experience. 

Key responsibilities

·        Guest services: Greet guests, answer questions, and resolve complaints in a professional and courteous manner. Provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions.

·        Reservations: Manage incoming reservations through phone, email, and online systems. Handle cancellations and update records accordingly.

·        Check-in/check-out: Process guest check-ins and check-outs, verify information, assign rooms, and issue keys.

·        Financial transactions: Handle payments, process bills, and manage cash transactions. Verify credit card details for authorization.

·        Administrative tasks: Maintain an organized front desk, update guest records, and manage the front desk software. Perform basic bookkeeping and prepare reports.

·        Interdepartmental coordination: Liaise with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest rooms are ready and all guest needs are met.

·        Upselling: Promote and sell additional hotel services, facilities, or special offers. 

Essential skills

  • Customer service: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are crucial for dealing with a diverse range of guests and situations.
  • Technical proficiency: Must be comfortable using computers, phone systems, and hotel management software for various tasks like booking, billing, and record-keeping.
  • Organizational skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain an orderly workspace is essential for managing the front desk effectively.
  • Professionalism: A smart appearance, polite demeanor, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are key to creating a positive impression
