Job Description
Job Title: Relationship Officer (RO) / Senior Relationship Officer (SRO) / Relationship Manager (RM)Function: Bancassurance – BOM (Bank of Maharashtra)
Reporting to: Territory Manager (TM) / Area Manager (AM)
Location: Mumbai
Education Qualification:
- Minimum: 12th Pass (Full-time)
- Preferred: Graduate / Post-Graduate / MBA from a reputed institute
- Experience Required: 6 months to 6 years of relevant experience in Sales/Insurance/Bancassurance
Job Purpose: To drive insurance sales and achieve business objectives through the Bank of Maharashtra (BOM) channel by leveraging leads, cross-selling opportunities, and strong relationship management.
- Key Responsibilities: Sales Achievement:
- Achieve assigned insurance premium targets through bank channels (branch banking model).
- Drive revenue growth by cross-selling insurance products to bank customers.
- Ensure consistent delivery of sales targets month-on-month.
- Lead Management & Customer Engagement:
- Work on leads provided by the Bank and generate additional business through referrals.
- Identify customer needs, provide appropriate solutions, and maintain long-term relationships.
- Drive maximum customer coverage by visiting assigned branches regularly.
- Relationship Management:
- Build strong working relationships with bank staff and ensure joint calls with Bank employees.
- Train and motivate bank personnel on insurance products, processes, and lead generation.
- Ensure alignment with bank teams for business planning and execution.
- Operational Efficiency & Compliance:
- Ensure timely updating of system records and documentation as per internal guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and internal policies.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with customers and bank partners for policy issuance and retention.
- Key Skills Required: Good knowledge of insurance products and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer orientation with a consultative sales approach.
- Financial acumen and ability to understand customer financial needs.
- Proficient in managing data, reporting, and CRM tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a target-driven environment.
