Restaurant Captain

Supervise and lead waitstaff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.

Greet, seat, and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.

Assist guests with menu choices and make recommendations.

Take food and beverage orders accurately; coordinate with kitchen and bar.

Monitor timing of courses to ensure seamless service.

Serve food, wine, and other beverages per restaurant standards.

Handle guest complaints and resolve service issues promptly.

Train, mentor, and onboard new servers and support staff.

Conduct pre-shift briefings to align team on daily specials, service flow, and guest needs.

Maintain cleanliness and order in dining area; supervise table setups.

Ensure all service equipment and cutlery are in good condition and stocked.

Report any maintenance or repair needs to management.

Monitor guest satisfaction and collect feedback.

Uphold hygiene, safety, and restaurant policies throughout service.

Report to Restaurant Manager / F&B Manager on performance, staff issues, and guest feedback.
