Job Title: RO Plant Technician / RO Plant Operator

Department: Utilities / Water Treatment

Reports To: Plant Supervisor / Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plant systems to ensure continuous supply of treated water meeting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor RO plant systems, including pre-treatment and post-treatment units

Perform routine checks on pumps, membranes, filters, valves, and pressure vessels

Monitor water quality parameters such as TDS, pH, conductivity, flow, and pressure

Carry out membrane cleaning (CIP) and replacement as required

Identify and troubleshoot operational faults and system alarms

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on RO equipment

Maintain proper chemical dosing (antiscalant, chlorine, SMBS, etc.)

Record operational data, logs, and maintenance activities

Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental procedures

Coordinate with maintenance teams and report abnormalities

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / ITI / Technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering

Experience in RO plant operation and maintenance preferred

Knowledge of water treatment processes and RO systems

Ability to read P&ID diagrams and operating manuals

Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

Attention to safety and water quality standards

Work Environment

Industrial or utility plant environment
