Sales Associate

Core Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Welcoming customers, identifying their needs, and providing expert advice on product features, pricing, and after-sales services.
• Sales Execution: Actively upselling and cross-selling products, informing customers about promotions, and working toward daily or monthly sales targets.
• Transaction Management: Operating Point of Sale (POS) systems to process cash and card payments accurately, managing returns, and balancing the cash drawer.
• Store Maintenance: Ensuring the sales floor is clean, organized, and visually appealing by restocking shelves and arranging merchandise displays.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, patience, and a friendly, engaging personality to build rapport with diverse customers.
• Basic Literacy: Proficiency in basic math for handling transactions and calculating discounts, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical Stamina: The ability to stand for long shifts (often 8–10 hours) and occasionally lift merchandise (up to 25–50 lbs).
• Technical Savvy: Familiarity with POS software and basic retail management tools.
