Job Summary -
The Credit Card Sales Team Leader is responsible for leading, motivating, and managing a team of sales executives to achieve credit card acquisition targets. The role involves driving sales performance, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, coaching team members, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Performance Management
Lead and manage a team of credit card sales executives to achieve monthly and quarterly targets
Develop and implement sales strategies to increase credit card acquisition
Monitor daily sales activities, pipeline, and conversions
Analyse sales performance and prepare regular reports for management
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, and onboard new sales team members
Conduct regular coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews
Motivate the team through incentives, recognition, and goal-setting
Ensure team discipline and adherence to company policies
Customer & Market Management
Support the team in handling high-value or complex customer cases
Ensure excellent customer experience and service quality
Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and lead sources
Address customer escalations and resolve complaints effectively
Compliance & Process Adherence
Ensure strict compliance with bank policies, KYC norms, and regulatory guidelines
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Prevent mis-selling and ensure ethical sales practices
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and people management skills
Proven sales and negotiation abilities
Good understanding of credit card products and banking regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Target-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Qualifications
12+ and graduate
Experience
1-4 years of experience in credit card or financial product sales
At least 1–2 years of experience in a team leadership or supervisory role
