Sampling Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle sample development for denim bottoms (jeans, shorts, skirts, cargo, etc.).
• Coordinate with buyers for sample comments and approvals.
• Follow up with sampling department for proto, fit, PP, and shipment samples.
• Ensure correct fabric, trims, wash, and accessories are used as per tech pack.
• Coordinate with washing unit for correct denim wash development.
• Monitor sample timelines and ensure on-time submission.
• Maintain sample tracking reports and merchandising records.
• Communicate buyer comments to production and ensure corrections.
• Costing support for denim styles if required.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained during sampling.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology, Textile, or related field.
• 2–5 years experience in denim garment merchandising.
• Strong knowledge of denim fabrics, washes, and trims.
• Understanding of sample types (Proto, Fit, SMS, PP, TOP).
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and basic reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
