Satcom Support Engineer (L2)

We are hiring a Satcom Support Engineer (L2) to provide technical support for satellite communication services across maritime and enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for VSAT, L-band and LEO/MEO satellite services

• Monitor satellite terminals, network links and service performance

• Troubleshoot connectivity issues, modem faults, antenna alignment and configuration problems

• Perform remote configuration and troubleshooting of routers, modems, firewalls and WAN devices (iDirect, Cisco, Fortinet, Peplink)

• Analyze signal strength, latency, bandwidth usage and packet loss

• Coordinate with NOC, teleport teams and satellite service providers for fault resolution

• Escalate complex issues to OEMs or Level 3 teams and track till closure

• Support installation, commissioning and maintenance activities remotely

• Maintain tickets, logs and documentation using service desk tools (Zendesk, Jira, Freshdesk)

• Participate in 24x7 rotational shifts and on-call support when required

Requirements:

• 2 to 7 years experience in Satcom / VSAT / NOC / Network Support

• Strong knowledge of satellite communication systems (KVH, Hughes, Viasat, Fleet Xpress)

• Experience with Starlink, OneWeb or other LEO systems is an advantage

• Good understanding of IP networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, NAT, VLANs)

• Familiar with Linux CLI, SSH, RDP, TeamViewer, ping, traceroute, Wireshark

• Ability to work in mission-critical environments under pressure

Education:

• Graduate / Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunications, IT or related field

Certifications (Preferred):

• OEM Satcom certifications (Intellian, Cobham, KVH, Starlink, OneWeb)

• CCNA / Network+ / GVF / ITIL Foundation
