Job Description

Senior Executive – Human Resources will be responsible for executing and managing the full spectrum of HR functions within the organization, particularly in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setup. The role involves ensuring effective HR operations, compliance with statutory and industry regulations, and fostering a productive, compliant, and engaged workforce


Key Responsibilities:


1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for production, quality, engineering, and corporate roles.
  • Partner with functional heads to identify manpower needs and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct interviews, salary negotiations, and coordinate onboarding and induction programs.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in a fair and timely manner.
  • Build strong rapport with plant employees, supervisors, and union representatives (if applicable).
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives to improve morale and retention.


3. Performance Management

  • Coordinate goal-setting and appraisal processes.
  • Support line managers in implementing performance improvement and development plans.
  • Assist in succession planning and competency mapping initiatives.


4. Training & Development

  • Identify skill and compliance training needs in coordination with department heads.
  • Organize and document GMP, safety, and soft-skill training sessions.
  • Maintain training records as per regulatory standards (GMP / WHO / USFDA).


5. Statutory Compliance & HR Operations

  • Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, Factory Act, Gratuity, etc.).
  • Coordinate with external agencies and government departments for inspections and audits.
  • Maintain updated employee records and statutory registers as per pharma industry standards.
  • Manage attendance, payroll inputs, and leave administration.


6. Policy Implementation & HR Systems

  • Implement and communicate HR policies and procedures across departments.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and ethical standards.
  • Utilize HRMS systems for efficient HR data management and reporting.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3-10 years of HR experience, in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Labour laws and statutory compliances (Factories Act, Industrial Relations, etc.).
  • Exposure to GMP / regulatory audits (USFDA, WHO).
  • Proficiency in HRMS / MS Office tools.
