Position: Solar Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Engineer

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 1–3 years (Solar O&M preferred)

🔧 Role Overview

We are looking for a Solar O&M Engineer who will handle preventive & corrective maintenance of solar plants and also assist with site surveys for new installations. The candidate should ensure maximum plant uptime, accurate survey data, and reliable technical support.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

O&M Responsibilities

• Perform routine & preventive maintenance of rooftop/ground-mounted solar plants.
• Troubleshoot:
• Inverters (Sungrow, Growatt, Solis, etc.)
• AC/DC wiring faults
• String issues
• Protection devices (MCB, SPD, fuses)
• Monitoring/SCADA issues
• Candidate should have experience in Maintaining MW Scale plants
• Monitor generation data daily and identify abnormalities.
• Inspect:
• Solar modules (damage, hotspots, cleaning needs)
• Mounting structure
• Earthing & lightning arrestor
• AC/DC combiner boxes
• Manage panel cleaning schedules and O&M manpower.
• Document service visits, maintenance logs, and performance reports.
• Coordinate with vendors for replacement materials.

Site Survey Support

• Assist in site surveys.
• Measure AC/DC path, wiring length, roof area, panel placement feasibility.
• Capture dimensions, shading details, load details, and site photos/videos.
• Prepare and share basic survey notes + measurements with the design team.

⚡ Skills Required

• Good understanding of solar electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills (DC/AC side).
• Ability to use basic survey tools (measuring tape, clamp meter, laser meter).
• Comfortable traveling to multiple sites.
• Strong reporting and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of PVSyst/Solar design is a plus (not mandatory).

🎓 Education

• Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or related fields.

💼 Salary Range

₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month

(Depending on performance)
